By deploying sensors onsite, and collecting the readings remotely, Instratus removes the costly need for onsite construction monitoring personnel, and provides near real-time data through our online system. Common deployments of instruments include vibration and sound level monitoring during tunneling, piling, or blasting projects, water level monitoring of surface or well water, weather stations, tilt and crack monitoring of sensitive infrastructure during construction, or down-hole inclinometer installations to monitor ground movement. In addition to providing our equipment to monitor your project, we can provide pre-construction condition assessments to document existing condition prior to construction startup. These assessments, along with ongoing construction monitoring, can help eliminate claims of damage caused by construction activities.

While some monitoring services can be provided remotely, others cannot. In the case of Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) monitoring, a qualified professional must attend the site regularly to visually inspect the site and collect and test discharge water. Instratus provides this service within the Lower Mainland and Okanagan regions, with a focus on helping developers and contractors understand and meet their ESC obligations.
